Serena only had about 4½ hours of labor with Madeline. Apparently she was in a hurry to be born!

Phil was looking a bit tired. In fact, they kicked us all out shortly after we took this picture, so they could get some sleep.

I was fairly happy too...They let me hold her and play with her feet for quite a while.

Speaking of feet, look at the size of these ones! We hope the rest of her will grow up to match these, soon.

Madeline has lots of hair. Sideburns, even! We knew she was going to have hair, because she had so much, they could see it in the ultrasound pictures!

This is a rare photo of James sitting still. The only way we could get him to sit for a picture was to insist that he had to hold Madeline.

Here are Madeline's footprints! Someone made a "transcription error" in marking her weight.
