34. John Peter PHILLIPS

Oral history within the family says that this is the same Portugese Phillips who was with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show...Published history indicates that Portugese Phillips was a different person, with another family...It wouldn't be impossible that the two are the same, and he had two families. There is an account of him stopping in Canadian, TX, to visit the family on his last tour before he died.
Also called Pete.

35. Mary YOUNGER

There are conflicting reports about this person, whether she was of the Youngerfamily or the James family. I believe that her maiden name was Younger, but onafamily tree that Dad drew for me, he shows her name as James. She apparentlyhad a picture of herself, as a child, with her mother, and two other women with their children, those being Mrs. Younger with Cole, and Mrs. James with Jesse. ÃO
Another family tree that is obviously paralell shows Philips married to a Rebecca Vardi, which clearly fits Uncle George's account of him jumping ship and marrying a woman from Quebec.

37. Emma GOODMAN

Emma was raised in the same household with her husband, James. Her father was also raised as a foster child bySamuel Neely, and when he fell on hard times, hebrought his daughter to Samuel to be raised. My father, James Burrell Williamsremembers them, and he said that Emma nagged James constantly. He also said thathis great-grandfather once told him that he didn't know whether he married Emma because he loved her, or because he felt sorry for her.

38. Emmett BURNS

BIOGRAPHY: From an email from Freda Eaton-Lea

BIOGRAPHY: While the Williams family lived in Oklahoma, they became acquainted with the Emmett Burns family and the Neelys
and the Turners.  My grandpa, James Bird Eaton, married Lydia Josephine "Josie" Burns. Her sister, Thankful Viola
Burns married Daris Turner. Their sister, Letitia Naria "Lettie" Burns married Burrell Neely. A fourth sister, Helen
Georgiana Burns married a fella from the Netherlands by the name of Leonardus Thomas Inkelaar and they
proceeded to have 16 children - 8 boys and 8 girls.
